Interval sprinting is the next level up from jogging. Jogging will raise your heart rate and breathing rate quite high. A recommended interval length for a sprint is no longer than 30 seconds. Start by lightly jogging, then sprint (jog fast) to the next quick landmark (mailbox, light post, end of block). Try interval sprinting 3x per week for 10-30 minutes in duration. Focus on deep breaths, light feet, and positive thinking.
